Downriver Community Church is a local church family in Wyandotte, Michigan. We gather on Sundays inside the Kinergy Center, which operates as its own faith-focused wellness space. DRCC has separate leadership, teaching, and mission as a Christ-centered church in the Downriver area.

Over the years, this community has walked through change, transition, and waiting. A core group stayed prayerful and steady. They kept meeting, opening Scripture, welcoming children, and caring for one another. God used that perseverance to shape a strong, grace-filled church family.

Today, our focus is clear. Love God. Love people. Live the gospel in daily life.

  • There are approximately 50 parking places in the parking lot and paved alleyway. The entrance to the parking lot is off of 23rd Street, just past the house located on the property. Public parking is also available on the side streets and Oak Street (the south side of the street).

  • We are connected as one body in Christ. We are united in serving in His kingdom in a variety of ways but from a financial and leadership standpoint, each ministry operates independently and kept separate in both staff, banking, and management software. All Kinergy Lifestyle Organizations operate in a family manor and are happy to assist in any way.

  • Miguel and his wife, Jazmin, have followed Jesus through California freeways, Southern backroads, and Kansas plains, learning along the way that Christ meets people in both joy and deep loss. Their story includes miscarriages, answered prayers, and the steady grace of God in the middle of fear and questions. That journey gave Miguel a soft heart for people who feel tired, ashamed, burned by church, or unsure what they believe. He loves honest rooms, hard questions, and the kind of hope that does not look away from pain.

    Today Miguel serves as Lead Pastor of Downriver Community Church in Wyandotte. He preaches the Bible with an open Bible and an open life, calling people to turn from sin, trust Jesus, and follow Him in everyday obedience. He cares about both doctrine and tears, so sermons aim at the mind and the heart. Jeremiah 33:3 shapes his prayer life and his leadership, calling DRCC to seek God and expect Him to answer. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Miguel longs to see a multi generational, multi ethnic church family in Wyandotte and the Downriver area, where thinkers, skeptics, and long time believers sit side by side and learn to love God, love people, and live the gospel together.

    This newly formed church is still unfolding, but it is already a vibrant community built on a strong foundation of faith, hope, love, and movement. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where everyone can encounter the life-changing presence of Jesus. We believe in living out our faith through action, serving others, and building a supportive, inclusive community for all.

  • Worship Experiences

    Worship Experiences will be held at 10 AM on Sundays starting November 10, 2024. We aim to lead our new family into a time of intimate worship, inspiring messages, and a sense of community. In addition to our Sunday gatherings, we also host Bible studies throughout the week, both at the Kinergy Center and in homes, to help you grow deeper in your faith and build lasting connections. Wherever you are in your journey, our worship experiences and small groups provide a welcoming space for all to encounter Jesus.

    Although we have a lot to define and discover in these early stages of our church. We promise to be completely transparent with our flock and encourage you to register with our app and give with a joyful heart as part of your faith journey.
